Summary:  An artic air mass will bring cold temperatures across must of the central and eastern U.S. This will also bring mixed precipitation and ice conditions from south Texas and the central Gulf Coast into the southern Mid-Atlantic which may cause hazardous travel conditions and power outages. The most significant icing is likely in the eastern Carolinas. 
Montana
Winter Weather Advisory
Central Montana has a winter weather advisory in effect until 10am this morning.  Snow is expected.  Eastern Montana is under a winter weather advisory until 8am on morning.  Freezing rain is expected.
  • Snow accumulations up to 2 inches
 
 
North Dakota
Winter Weather Advisory
A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 3pm CST today for snow and blowing snow.
  • Up to 2 inches of snow accumulation
  • Winds gusting as high as 45 mph
 
Minnesota
Wind Chill Advisory
A wind chill advisory is in place until 10am today.  
  • Wind chills -35
 
Wisconsin
Wind Chill Advisory
Central and northern Wisconsin are under a winter weather advisory until 10am today.
  • Wind chills -45
 
Iowa
Wind Chill Advisory
Iowa is under a wind chill advisory until noon today.  
  • Wind chills -20 to -35
 
Texas
Winter Storm Warning / Wind chill Advisory
This remains in effect until noon today for southern Texas.  Significant icing is expected.  Very cold wind chills also expected.
  • Additional ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch
  • Wind chills 20 - 25 degrees
 
South Carolina
Winter Weather Advisory / Ice Storm Warning
Central and eastern South Carolina are under a winter weather advisory until 7am tomorrow.  Mixed precipitation expected.
  • Up to one inch snow accumulation
  • Ice accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch
 
North Carolina 
Winter Storm Warning / Ice Storm Warning
Central and eastern North Carolina are under a winter weather advisory until noon on Saturday.  Periods of freezing rain midday today will mix with sleet and snow late afternoon and become all snow tonight.
  • Ice accumulations will range between a trace to 0.20 inches
  • Sleet & snow accumulations will range between 0.5 inches and 1.5 inches
  • Some parts of Eastern NC are forecast for snow & sleet accumulations of 3-5 inches.
