Describe your job in 20 words or less?

I help a team of top-notch logistics personnel exceed all our client’s needs

Favorite memory at Jarrett so far?

Mark Gordon and I traveled to a few sites for our customers.  In two days, we were in Ohio,         Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Georgia. We flew, and on the         way home I landed in Michigan to find out my flight was cancelled.  To get home I would have to        wait another two days so I rented a car and drove home.

What is your favorite quote?

 Enjoy the journey.

Why did you decide to join and stay with Jarrett?

When I started here, I had no expectations of staying at JLS this long.  The culture, family-like       atmosphere and people have kept me here.  The people are amazing!

Who has been a mentor for you here at Jarrett? How have they helped you?

Jill Hochstetler has been a mentor for me throughout my career.  She has a thirst for knowledge,      doing what is right for her team and clients and approaching each day with a zest.

What advice would you give to recent new hires

There is so much to learn. Relax and enjoy the process. The understanding will come over time.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your time at Jarrett?

At Jarrett, we are an extension of our clients.  We treat them as part of the Jarrett Logistics           family.  That philosophy creates a fluid, connected partnership that endures industry trends and        spans years.

How does your team provide value to Jarrett clients?

Everyday our thoughts are to make the lives of our clients easier. We do whatever it takes to       achieve that.

How has technology evolved in your time at Jarrett?

What we do with our TMS is beyond imagination now from what it was on my first day with JLS.

How does Jarrett and their employees serve the community?

We are encouraged to be civically minded.  For myself that means getting involved in      volunteering and fundraising for organizations. JLS has always supported the organizations with    which I have volunteered.

What lessons have you learned in the past 20 years that will impact the next 20?

I have learned to relax and know that hard work will pay off. You just have to be patient.              Patience is something I did not have when I was 20!

What advice would you give your 20-year-old self?

Relax and enjoy the ride!

What was your favorite song when you were 20?

Back Where I Come From by Kenny Chesney

What job did you have when you were 20?

When I was 20 I was in college and waiting tables at Buehler’s Café downtown Wooster.
