A strong coastal storm will bring moderate to major coastal flooding, strong winds, heavy rainfall and high surf to the Mid-Atlantic and New England. Tropical Storm Nolo is expected to strengthen into a hurricane today as it moves north toward the Big Island of Hawaii. Heavy rainfall may produce life-threatening, catastrophic flooding and mudslides.
