U.S. Weather Update 9.23.25 (Clone) (Clone)

Summary:
Thunderstorms ahead of an approaching cold front will impact much of the Central U.S. through Tuesday. Severe thunderstorms and flash flooding are forecast for portions of the central/southern Plains and the Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee Valleys. Meanwhile, dangerous waves and rip currents will impact portions of the East Coast as tropical activity increases in the Atlantic.

Impacted Lanes: I-70, I-90, I-40, I-44, I-35


New Mexico

Flood Watch remains in effect until further notice.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-laying and flood-prone locations

Kansas 

Flood Watch remains in effect until further notice.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-laying and flood-prone locations

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-laying and flood-prone locations

Oklahoma

Flood Watch remains in effect until further notice.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-laying and flood-prone locations

Arkansas 

Flood Watch remains in effect until further notice.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-laying and flood-prone locations

Missouri 

Flood Watch remains in effect until further notice.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-laying and flood-prone locations
