Summary:
Extreme heat will continue across the Pacific Northwest into midweek before finally waning. Hot temperatures, dry, gusty conditions, and isolated dry thunderstorms will bring critical fire weather. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected across portions of the Southwest, the Sierras, and the central/southern Plains. A series of storms will bring heavy rain and strong winds to southern Alaska. Impacted Lanes: I-15, I-40, I-80, I-70, I-35, I-55, I-95, I-75, I-29.
Colorado
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 6:15 AM MDT.
- Life-threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding in and around the Lee Burn Scar.
- Impacts: Life-threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Lee Burn Scar.
Arizona
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Local law enforcement have reported water rescues.
Idaho
Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.
- Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding or debris flows in and near recent wildfire burn scars. In addition, urban street flooding is possible with the stronger storms.
Oklahoma
Flood Advisory remains in effect until tomorrow evening.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Some croplands, pastures, and rural roads may be flooded. Areas affected extend from the southwest corner of Major County downstream to the headwaters of Canton Lake in Dewey County.
Nevada
Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday evening.
- Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. Flash flooding is also possible over recent burn scar areas.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations including burn scars.
