Summary:
A front will bring chances for showers and thunderstorms over the Central Rockies and Southern Plains. Heavy rains are also possible in southern Arizona. A dangerous heat wave continues across the Pacific Northwest. Hot, dry conditions and lightning may cause new fire starts across the Cascades. Conversely, a cold front will bring unseasonably cool temperatures to much of the lower 48. Impacted Lanes: I-35, I-44, I-55, I-15, I-70, I-25, I-40
Minnesota
Flood Warning remains in effect until Friday morning.
- Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Low-lying areas and some roads along the river begin to flood and private sanitary sewers may experience problems.
Kansas
Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Pennsylvania
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM EDT this morning.
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Arizona
Flood Warning remains in effect until Tuesday evening.
- Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible, especially over the Dragon Bravo and White Sage fire scars.
- Impacts: Flash flooding will be possible in creeks, normally dry washes, swimming holes, and over recently burned areas. Raging killer currents will be possible in side canyons and narrow slot canyons. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
