Summary:
Scattered thunderstorms and heavy rainfall may bring areas of flooding through the weekend over the Upper Midwest. A tropical disturbance will bring moderate to locally heavy rain to portions of South Texas into Saturday. Tropical Storm Erin may bring isolated flash and urban flooding, landslides or mudslides, and tropical storm conditions to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

South Dakota
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 7:15 AM CDT this morning.
- 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail.
- Impacts: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Arizona
Flood Warning remains in effect until 7 AM MST this morning.
- Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall conditions.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
South Carolina
Flood Advisory remains in effect until tomorrow evening.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Flooding occurs in flood-prone areas near and downstream from Columbia. Flooding also occurs on parts of the Cayce and West Columbia river walk.
Texas
Flood Watch remains in effect from 6 AM CDT this morning through this afternoon.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, streams, creeks, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
