Summary:
Heavy rain and isolated severe thunderstorms may cause flash flooding in the northern Mid-Atlantic today. The Mid-Atlantic and Southeast heatwave is slowly easing, while cooler, drier air spreads across the Central and Eastern U.S. for the start of August. Critical fire conditions persist in the Pacific Northwest and Four Corners due to dry storms and gusty winds. Impacted Lanes: I-10, I-40, I-69, I-70, I-71, I-77, I-80, I-76, I-81- I-86, I-88, I-90, I-91, I-75, I-93, I-95


Nebraska
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:30 AM CDT.

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Indiana
Flood Warning remains in effect until noon EDT today.

  • Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers ,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations in imminent or occurring.  Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM EDT this morning.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

Washington
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM PDT this morning.

  • Dense fog will reduce visibility to 1 mile or less.
  • Impacts: Hazardous travel conditions due to low visibility.

Montana
Flood Watch remains in effect from Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening.

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, including recent burn scars.  Flash flooding of recent burn scars may lead to debris flows.

Additional Flood Warnings include but are not limited to: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and South Dakota, 

Additional Flood Advisories include but are not limited to: Nebraska

Additional Flood Watches include but are not limited to: Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
