Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected tonight across parts of the Upper Midwest to western Great Lakes. Additional severe storms will also be possible in parts of the northern Plains, central Appalachians, and Mid-Atlantic. Extreme heat is expected to intensify across much of the Southeast and Tennessee Valley, continuing through much of this week.. Impacted Lanes: I-94, I-90, I-96, I-75, I-80.

Severe Weather Warning remains in effect until 6:30 AM MDT this morning.
- Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
- Impacts: People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roof's, siding and trees.
South Dakota
Flood Warning remains in effect until late Wednesday night.
- Minor flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.
Ohio
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 8:30 AM EDT this morning.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM EDT this morning.
- Visibility one quarter-mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Iowa
Flood Warning remains in effect until Tuesday evening.
- Flooding is possible,
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
