U.S. Weather Update 7.25.25

Summary:
Flash flooding likely in northeast Kansas & Missouri into tonight. Widespread extreme heat will develop and persist across much of the Southeast this weekend & next week. Tropical Storm Krosa has formed and will continue to cause heavy rain across Guam & the CNMI through Saturday. Severe storms with flooding rains expected into tonight for portions of the Midwest. Impacted Lanes:  I-35, I-70, I-72, I-74, I-64, I-10, I-49, I-55, I-80, I-95, I-90.

Missouri
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:30 AM CDT Friday.

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Flood Warning remains in effect until this evening.

  • Minor flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations in imminent or occurring.

Ohio
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:45 AM EDT this morning.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.  

Nebraska
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning.

  • Visibility as low as one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Iowa
Flood Watch remains in effect until this evening.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall remains possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Additional Flood Warnings include but are not limited to:  Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Additional Dense Fog Advisories include but are not limited to: Michigan

Additional Flood Watches include but are not limited to: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
