Summary:
The heat will increase and expand across the Central Plains, Mississippi Valley, Southeast and into the Eastern U.S. through the week as high pressure builds across the eastern two-thirds of the country. On the northern periphery of this heat, the threat for severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall across the northern Plains and upper Midwest through Tuesday. Critical Fire Weather for the west. Impacted Lanes: I-64, I-65, I-71, I-77.
Missouri
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:30 AM CDT.
- Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
- Impacts: Life-threatening flash flooding of rivers ,creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:45 AM CDT.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings
North Dakota
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until noon CDT.
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Tennessee
Flood Watch remains in effect until this evening.
- Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms producing excessive rainfall is possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
