Summary:
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely from from northeast New Mexico/Southeast Colorado, eastward into the Central Plains through the Central Appalachians. Slow moving low to bring heavy rainfall to the Central Gulf Coast into the weekend. Dangerous heat is expected from the Lower Mississippi Valley, Tennessee Valley, Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Impacted Lanes: I-17, I-40, I-25, I-70, I-80, I-35, I-64, I-75, I-77, I-79, I-80, I-90


Missouri
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 8:45 AM CDT.

  • Flash Flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of rivers ,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Kansas
Flood Warning remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

Louisiana
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 8 AM CDT this morning.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

West Virginia
Flood Watch remains in effect from 2PM this afternoon through this evening.

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms producing excessive rainfall is possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. 

Additional Flood Warnings include but are not limited to: Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
Additional Flood Advisories include but are not limited to: Arizona, Mississippi, Nebraska, and Texas

Additional Flood Watches include but are not limited to:  Kentucky, Louisiana, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia.  .
