Summary:
Heat will build over the Intermountain West and the Southwest the next couple of days. Lightning from dry thunderstorms can create new fire starts and combined with gusty winds may cause a fire to rapidly grow in Oregon and northern California. Flash flooding will be possible in Arizona and west Texas today, as well as parts of the southern and central Plains due to slow moving thunderstorms. Kansas
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this evening
- Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
- Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Minnesota
Flood Warning remains in effect until 9 AM CDT Monday.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occuring.
Oklahoma
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM CDT this morning.
- Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Texas
Flood Watch remains in effect until this evening.
- Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood prone locations; flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
