Summary:
A significant and dangerous heat wave will expand from the Central U.S. into the Eastern U.S and linger through much of the work week. Numerous daily record highs and warm lows are likely. Severe thunderstorms are possible from the southern Plains through the Upper Mississippi Valley. Fire weather concerns are expected to persist across the Four Corners region. - Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
Flood Watch remains in effect until late tonight.
- Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Oklahoma
Flood Advisory remains in effect until Wednesday morning.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying areas near rivers.
