Summary:
Heavy thunderstorms will continue areas of excessive rainfall and locally considerable flooding over parts of the southern Plains into the mid-Mississippi River Valley through Friday. Heavy to excessive rainfall may bring flash and urban flooding, along with isolated riverine flooding to a part of the Upper Midwest Thursday. Impacted Lanes: I-10, I-30, I-44, I-45, I-91


Texas
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning.

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice.

  • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Minor lowland flooding.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.

Virginia
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until noon EDT today.

  • Reduced visibility of less than a mile caused by fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
