U.S. Weather Update 5.5.26

 Scattered severe storms are expected in the Midwest this afternoon/tonight, with another threat possible in the central/southern Plains. Late-season snow is expected over parts of the central Rockies including the Denver Metro into Wednesday. Severe thunderstorms are expected Tuesday and Wednesday across Texas and the mid-South, with threats of damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes, and flooding. 

Colorado

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon Wednesday. 

  • Heavy snow is expected. Total accumulations between 6 and 18 inches. 

 

Wyoming

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until Wednesday. 

  • Total snow accumulations between 8 and 16 inches. 

 

Additional  Wind Advisory included but not limited to:  New Mexico, Texas, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. 

Additional  Winter Storm Warning included but not limited to:   Colorado and Wyoming. 

Additional Flood Warning included but not limited to : Washington, Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.
