Heavy rain may cause instances of flash flooding from eastern Kentucky to southern New York. Out west, dangerous heat will develop through Saturday, with record-breaking temperatures expected. Kentucky
Tornado Warning remains in effect until 7:45 AM EDT this evening
- A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Harrodsburg, moving east at 30 mph.
- Impacts: Flying debris will be dangerous, damage to roofs, windows and trees, move to the closest substantial shelter.
Texas
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 8:45 AM CDT this morning
- Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding
- Impacts: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Arkansas
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice.
- Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Overbank flooding closes many roads. Harmony Grove community has flood problems at this stage. Many low lying roads are flooding with access to some residential areas by boat only.
Texas
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
West Virginia
Flood Watch remains in effect until late this evening.
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
