U.S. Weather Update 5.29.25

Summary:
Severe thunderstorms capable of very large hail, damaging wind gusts, and a few tornadoes will continue through tonight across parts of the central and southern Plains. Heavy rain will pose a threat for flash flooding across portions of central and coastal Texas. Thunderstorms may also cause isolated wind damage across the Southeast. Impacted Lanes: I-5, I-10, I-44, I-59, I-70, I 85


Arkansas
Flood Advisory remains in effect until early Monday morning.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water crossings may become impassable

Pennsylvania
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM EDT this morning.

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Louisiana
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice.

  • Minor flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Flooding of lowlands continues and some roads in low lying areas become cut off by high water.

Additional Dense Fog Advisories include but are not limited to: Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Texas. West Virginia, and Wyoming

Additional Flood Warnings include but are not limited to: Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, Texas, and South Carolina
