U.S. Weather Update 5.18.26

 Dry and windy conditions will produce dangerous fire weather conditions across the southern High Plains into the Southwest. Severe storms, including very large hail, strong tornadoes, and winds, are expected from the Great Lakes into the central/southern Plains. Heavy late-season snow and cold temperatures are expected in the northern to central Rockies. Heat is spreading across the eastern U.S. 

Wyoming 

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM tonight. 

  • Total snow accumulations between 10 and 20 inches are expected. 

  • Winds gusting between 30 and 40 mph. 

Colorado

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 9 PM tonight. 

  • Total snow accumulations between 8 and 18 inches are expected. 

 

Additional  Wind Advisory included but not limited to:  California, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma,  Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan. 

Additional Flood Warning included but not limited to : Washington, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and Illinois.

Additional Dense Fog included but not limited to : Wisconsin and North Carolina. 

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to : Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado.
