U.S. Weather Update 4.23.26

 A strengthening storm system will bring impactful weather to the much of Central U.S. over the next couple of days, including heavy snow in the northern Rockies, Critical fire weather conditions for portions of the Plains, and increasing severe weather chances from the central/southern Plains to the Upper Midwest. 

Montana

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until Wednesday afternoon. 

  • Total snow accumulations between 5 and 12 inches.

  • Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.    

 

Additional  Wind Advisory included but not limited to:  Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota.

Additional  Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to:  Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. 

Additional Flood Warning included but not limited to : Washington, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. 

Additional Dense Fog included but not limited to: Ohio.
