U.S. Weather Update 4.14.26

 Super Typhoon Sinlaku will bring destructive winds, widespread heavy rain/flooding, thunderstorms, and coastal impacts to the Marianas Islands into Wednesday. Typhoon conditions are likely over the Northern Mariana Islands. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected from the Southern Plains to the Great Lakes through Tuesday. Heavy snow is expected in the Pacific Northwest. 

Washington

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 am Wednesday. 

  • Total snow accumulations between 3 to 12 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. 

Oregan

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 am Thursday.

  • Total snow accumulations between 12 to 21 inches. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. 

Iowa

Flood Warning remains in effect until Thursday morning.

  • Major flooding is occuring. 

Minnesota

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice. 

  • Moderate flooding is occurring.  

Wisconsin

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice. 

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.  

Michigan

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice. 

  • Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues.

Missouri

Flood Warning remains in effect until Thursday evening.

  • Minor flooding is occuring.

Illinois

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice. 

  • Minor flooding is occurring.   

Indiana

Flood Warning remains in effect until Thursday morning.

  • Moderate flooding is occurring. 

New York

Flood Warning remains in effect until Thursday afternoon.

  • Minor flooding is occurring. 

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to: Oregon and Washington.

Additional Wind Advisory included but not limited to: Nevada, New Mexico, Montana, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Georgia.

Additional Dense Fog included but not limited to: South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
