U.S. Weather Update 4.10.26

 A storm system near the Hawaiian Islands is expected to bring periods of heavy rainfall, strong winds, and isolated strong to severe thunderstorms through Friday. Several rounds of severe thunderstorms are forecast to impact parts of the Great Plains into the Midwest this weekend into next week. Moderate to heavy rainfall and high elevation snow is expected this weekend over California and Oregon. 

California

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 pm Sunday. 

  • Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches below 4000 feet. 
  • Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet above 4500 feet. 
  • Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. 

Iowa

Flood Warning remains in effect until late Saturday evening.

  • Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecasted. 

Minnesota

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice. 

  • Minor flooding is occurring.  

Wisconsin

Flood Warning remains in effect until late Tuesday night. 

  • Minor flooding is occurring.  

Michigan

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice. 

  • Minor flooding is forecast.

Illinois

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice. 

  • Minor flooding is occurring.   

Indiana

Flood Warning remains in effect until Sunday morning.

  • Moderate flooding is occurring. 

Ohio

Flood Warning remains in effect until Saturday morning.

  • Moderate flooding is occurring. 

New York

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice.

  • Minor flooding is occurring. 

 Additional Wind Advisory included but not limited to: California, Nevada, Arizona, and New York.

Additional Dense Fog included but not limited to: South Carolina, New Jersey, and Delaware.
