U.S. Weather Update 3.31.26

 A few severe thunderstorms with large hail, are expected across parts of the middle and upper Mississippi River Valley tonight through early morning. Snow and a wintry mix overnight in the Upper Midwest into the Great Lakes can cause hazardous travel conditions. Fire weather concerns continue for a large portion of the central and southern High Plains and Four Corners region this evening.

Oregon

Winter Storm Watch remains in effect until Thursday afternoon. 

  • Heavy snow possible. 
  • Total snow accumulations between 10 to 18 inches. 
  • Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

Montana

Winter Storm Watch remains in effect until late Thursday night. 

  • Heavy, wet snow possible. 
  • Total snow accumulations between 3 and 14 inches. 
  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. 

New York

Flood Watch remains in effect until Wednesday morning. 

  • Flooding caused by heavy rain and snowmelt is possible. 

 

 Additional High Wind Advisory included but not limited to:   Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas,  Nebraska, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky,  and North Carolina.

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to:  Oregon, California, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, and Maine.

 Additional Flood Warning included but not limited to: Minnesota and New York.
