U.S. Weather Update 3.18.26

 An anomalously early heat wave will continue to intensify and expand across the West and Southwest as the week progresses. Numerous daily and potentially monthly record highs are expected to be broken. Critical fire weather conditions will continue over the next couple of days across portions of the High Plains as gusty winds and dry conditions persist.

 

Washington

Flood Watch remains in effect until Friday afternoon. 

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. 

Idaho

Flood Watch remains in effect until Wednesday afternoon. 

  • Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. 

Montana

Flood Watch remains in effect until Wednesday afternoon. 

  • Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. 

 

Additional High Wind Advisory included but not limited to:   Montana and Wyoming.

Additional Flood Warning included but not limited to: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Louisiana, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Maine. 

Additional Dense Fog included but not limited to: North Dakota.
