U.S. Weather Update 3.13.26

 A moderate atmospheric river will continue to bring heavy snow over the Olympics, northern Cascades and northern Rockies Friday while heavy rain may bring flooding to coastal Oregon and Washington. A winter storm will continue to push across the Great Lakes and Northeast U.S. Friday and Saturday with areas of heavy snow and high winds.

Washington

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 am Saturday.

  • Total snow accumulations between 1 and 2 feet.

Oregon

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 pm Friday.

  • Total snow accumulation between 7 and 10 inches. 

  • Winds gusting between 40 and 50 mph.

Idaho

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 am Saturday.

  • Total snow accumulations of 3 to 8 inches in lower elevations and 2 to 5 feet at higher elevations. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. 

Montana

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am Sunday.

  • Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 feet. 

North Dakota

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until one Friday.

  • Total snow accumulations of 3 to 8 inches are expected. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 50mph.

Minnesota

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 pm Friday.

  • Total snow accumulations of 2 to 8 inches are expected. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

Blizzard Warning remains in effect unitl 1 pm Friaday.

  • Total snow accumulations of 1 to 8 inches. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

Wisconsin

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 pm Friday.

  • Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

Michigan

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 8 pm Friday. 

  • Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

 New York

Winter Storm Watch remains in effect until 2 pm Saturday.

  • Total snow and sleet accumulations greater than 10 to 18 inches. 
  • Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. 
 

 

 Additional High Wind Advisory included but not limited to:   Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Additional Winter Weather Watch included but not limited to:  Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Additional Flood Warning included but not limited to: Washington, Oregon, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, and Connecticut.
