U.S. Weather Update 2.5.26

Summary:

A frontal system is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms along the Gulf Coast and Southeast, and some snow and/or freezing rain/drizzle over the southern Mid-Atlantic into the morning. A series of Clipper systems will bring periods of snow to the Northern Plains and Great Lakes over the next couple of days.

 

Nebraska

Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday evening.  

  • Flooding caused by ice jam is possible. 

West Virginia

Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Friday morning through Saturday morning.  

  • Snow is expected, accumulations from 4 to 8 inches is expected.  
  • Winds gusts of 45 to 55 mph. 

Maryland

Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Friday morning through Saturday morning. 

  • Snow is expected, accumulations from 6 to 8 inches is expected.  
  • Winds could gust as high as 60 mph.

Pennsylvania

Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Friday morning through Saturday morning. 

  • Snow is expected, accumulations from 2 to 6 inches is expected.  
  • Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

 

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to:   California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

Additional High Wind Watch included but not limited to: California.

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to : North Carolina and Virginia. 

Additional Extreme Cold Watch including but not limited to: Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
