 A major winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow, strong winds, and coastal flooding across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast that may cause impossible travel conditions and power outages. Blizzard conditions are possible along coastal areas from the DelMarVa Peninsula through southeastern New England. Wet weather and strong winds return to the Pacific Northwest and north-central California. 

 

Oregon

Hydrologic Outlook remains in effect until further notice.

  • Heavy rain between 2 to 6 inches is expected.  

California

Flood Watch remains in effect until Tuesday evening.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

Montana

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 pm Wednesday. 

  • Snow accumulations up to 10 to 20 inches. 

  • North winds gusting as high as 60 mph. 

Wyoming

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 5 am Tuesday until 5 pm Wednesday.

  • Snow accumulations from 6 to 20 inches, with amounts up to 2 feet at higher elevations.
  • North winds gusting as high as 30 mph.

Minnesota

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from midnight tonight until 3 pm Tuesday.

  • Snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches.

North Carolina

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight  tonight. 

  • Snow accumulations between 1 and 6 inches. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. 

Virginia 

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 am Tuesday.

  • Snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

Pennsylvania

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 am Tuesday. 

  • Snow accumulations up to 6 inches are possible.

  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.  

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 1 pm this afternoon. 

  • Snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. 

  • Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

New York

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 pm today.

  • Snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. 

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6 pm this evening.

  • Snow accumulations between 4 and 12 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

Maryland

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6 pm this evening.

  • Snow accumulations of 3 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

Delaware

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6 pm this evening.

  • Snow accumulations of 3 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

New Jersey

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6 pm this evening.

  • Snow accumulations of 3 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

Connecticut

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 7 am Tuesday.

  • Snow accumulations between 8 and 15 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

Rhode Island

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 7 am Tuesday.

  • Snow accumulations between 14 and 21 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 75mph.

Massachusetts

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 7 am Tuesday.

  • Snow accumulations between 8 and 18 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. 

Vermont

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 pm this evening.

  • Snow accumulations between 3 and 16 inches.

New Hampshire

Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6 pm this evening.

  • Snow accumulations between 8 and 14 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

Maine

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 10 am until 7am Tuesday.

  • Snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
