U.S. Weather Update 2.10.26

Summary:

In Alaska, a powerful storm will bring dangerous seas, blizzard conditions, strong winds and bitterly cold across the state through mid-week. Meanwhile, a Pacific storm will move inland across California with lower elevation rain and accumulating mountain snow; Strong winds will affect the central Great Basin. A clipper system to bring snow and gusty winds for the Northeast corridor into Wednesday.

California

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 pm Wednesday.

  • Heavy snow is expected. Total accumulations of 12 to 18 inches above 7000 feet and up to 24 inches at higher elevations. 
  • Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph. 
 

Nebraska

Flood Watch remains in effect through Tuesday morning.  

  • Flooding caused by ice jam is possible. 
 
 

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to:  Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida.

Additional High Wind Watch included but not limited to: California, Nevada, Arizona, Oklahoma.

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to : California, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
