U.S. Weather Update 12.5.25

Summary:

A storm system will continue to slowly move through the Gulf Coast and Southeast U.S. over the next couple of days, bringing a heavy rainfall threat through the weekend. Isolated instances of flooding may occur. On the north side of this storm system, colder air will support areas of mixed wintry precipitation and light snow from the Tennessee Valley to the Mid-Atlantic Friday. 
 

 

Washington

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 PM today until 10 PM Saturday. 

  • Snow is expected 5 to 10 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. 

High Wind Warning remains in effect from 7 PM today until 7 AM Saturday.

  • Winds gusting from 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. 

Oregon

High Wind Warning remains in effect from 7 PM today until 7 AM Saturday.

  • Winds gusting from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.  

Colorado

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 5 PM Friday until 11 PM Saturday.

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between to 6 to 19 inches are possible. 
  • Winds could gust as high as 50mph.
Michigan
 

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM today.

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations from 3 to 6 inches. 
  • Winds
 

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to : California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tenessee. 

Additional Costal Flooding Advisory included but not limited to : California, Washington, Louisiana and South Carolina.

Additional Winter Storm Watch included but not limited to : Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah. 

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to : Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa, Utah and Maryland.
