U.S. Weather Update 10.30.25

Summary:

A storm system will bring widespread rain and thunderstorms over the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys northward to the Northeast by Friday morning. A few strong to locally severe storms could occur late tonight and early Thursday across eastern North Carolina and southeast Virginia. Moderate-to-major coastal flooding is forecast along the East Coast for the second half of this week. 

 

Washington

Flood Watch remains in effect from Friday through Saturday evening.

  • A strong atmospheric river will impact western Washington. 
  • Rainfall from 2-4 inches with a potential of 5+ inches. 
  • Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low lying and flood prone locations. 

Montana

High Wind Watch remains in effect from Friday through Sunday evening.

  • Southwest winds 30 - 40 with gusts up to 70 mph.  
  • High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outage.  

 

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to : Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas.

Additional Coastal Flood Warning included but not limited to : Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan, and Virginia.
