U.S. Weather Update 10.24.25

Summary:

Severe thunderstorms and areas of heavy to excessive rainfall are forecast over parts of the southern Plains into the Lower Mississippi River Valley Friday through the weekend. An atmospheric river followed by a Pacific storm will bring periods of gusty winds with low elevation heavy rain and high elevation snow to parts of the northwestern U.S through the weekend.

Washington

High Wind Warning remains in effect from 4 AM to 5 PM Saturday.

  • Winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.  
  • Coastal, headland areas, and exposed areas of highway 101 effected.  

Montana

High Wind Watch remains in effect until Saturday evening.

  • Winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.  
  • Effected areas include the 90 corridor between Bozeman and Whitehall. 

Kansas

Flood Watch remains in effect from 7 AM today until Saturday afternoon.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying areas. 

Oklahoma

Flood Watch remains in effect from 7 AM today until Saturday afternoon.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying areas. 

Texas

Flood Watch remains in effect from 7 AM today until Saturday afternoon.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying areas. 

 

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to : California.

Additional Wind Advisory included but not limited to : Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, and California.
