U.S. Weather Update 10.20.25

Summary:

A low pressure system will move across the Appalachians this evening and into the Mid-Atlantic tonight into early Monday. Isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible, with occasional damaging winds and possibly a brief/weak tornado. Meanwhile, mountain snow will continue through tonight in the northern Rockies as a low pressure system moves east across the north-Central U.S.

 

Wyoming

High Wind Watch remains in effect until further notice.

  • West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65mph possible. 
  • Strong cross winds will be hazardous to lightweight or high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers.  

Colorado

High Wind Watch remains in effect until further notice.

  • West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 75 mph possible. 
  • Strong cross winds will be hazardous to lightweight or high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers.  

New Mexico

High Wind Watch remains in effect until Friday afternoon.

  • West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60mph possible until 3 PM 10/20/2025. 
  • Strong cross winds will be hazardous to lightweight or high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers.  
 

 

Additional Flood Advisory included but are not limited to: South Dakota and Florida,

Additional Coastal Flooding included but not limited to : Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts

Additional Winter Weather included but not limited to : Idaho and Montana. 

Additional High Wind Watch included but not limited to :  North Dakota and South Dakota

Additional Wind Advisory included but not limited to : Montana, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina,  and Georgia.
