U.S. Weather Update 10.13.25

Summary:

A coastal storm continues to bring heavy rain, coastal flooding, high surf, dangerous rip currents, and gusty winds to the East Coast into early Tuesday. A heavy rain and flash flood risk continues for the Southwest/Four Corners region with lingering tropical moisture through Monday.

California

Flood watch remains in effect through the afternoon of Tuesday, October 14th.

  • Flood watch is specifically for areas in and nearby the recent burn scars.
  • Excessive rainfall may result in flooding low-lying and flood prone locations. 

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11:00 PM Monday.

  • South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45mph expected.
  • Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Blowing dust can reduce the visibility to one mile or less. 

Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through the afternoon of Tuesday, October 14th.

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.  
  • Excessive rainfall may result in flooding low-lying and flood prone locations. 

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from today at 11 AM until Wednesday at 5 PM.

  • Heavy snow expected with snow levels 6,000 to 7,000ft.  
  • Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet, except around 3 feet over the highest peaks. 

Nevada

 Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8:00 PM Thursday

  • South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
  • Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Blowing dust can reduce the visibility to one mile or less. 

Arizona

Flood watch remains in effect October 13th at 11:00 PM.

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.  
  • Excessive rainfall may result in flooding low-lying and flood prone locations.

Colorado

Flood watch remains in effect until October 11th at 11:00 PM.

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.  
  • Excessive rainfall may result in flooding low-lying and flood prone locations. 

New Mexico
 

Flood watch remains in effect October 11th at 11:00 PM.

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.  
  • Excessive rainfall may result in flooding low-lying and flood prone locations.
