U.S. Weather Update 1.7.26

Summary:

Two more cold fronts will pass through the Northwest U.S. this week with heavy mountain snow continuing across the Cascades, and northern Rockies. A quick moving storm system will bring mixed precipitation including some freezing rain across the Northeast U.S. overnight into Wednesday.
 
 

California

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM tonight until 7 AM Thursday. 

  • Snow accumulations up to 2 to 4 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. 

Oregon

Winter Storm Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM Wednesday until 10 AM Thursday.  

  • Snow accumulations from 4 to 8 inches.

Washington

Winter Storm Warning

  • Snow accumulations from 1 to 2 feet.
  • Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

Colorado

Winter Storm Watch

  • Snow accumulations from 5 to 7 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. 

New Mexico

Winter Storm Watch

  • Snow accumulations from 2 to 6 inches. 
  • Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. 

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to :  California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas,  Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut.

Additional Coastal Flooding included but not limited to : California and Washington.  

Additional Wind Advisory included but not limited to : Oregon, Montana, California, Nevada, Arizona, and Wyoming.

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to :Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado,  Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.  

Additional Winter Storm Warning included but not limited to : Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and New Mexico.
