U.S. Weather Update 1.5.26

Summary:

Pacific moisture will continue to bring locally heavy coastal/lower elevation rain and heavy mountain snow to the West Coast and portions of the Intermountain West through Monday. A wintry mix will create hazardous travel across the northern Plains and Upper Midwest into early Monday. Dry, gusty winds are resulting in elevated to critical fire weather in the south/central High Plains.
 
 

California

Flood Watch remains in effect from this evening through tomorrow evening. 

  • Flooding is possible. 

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM this afternoon. 

  • Snow accumulations between 5 and 9 inches.
  • Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. 

Oregon

Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Tuesday morning through Thursday morning. 

  • Total snow accumulations between 6 and 18 inches. 

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to :  Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Texas,  Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

Additional Coastal Flooding included but not limited to : California and Washington.  

Additional Wind Advisory included but not limited to : Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to : Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and  Michigan. 

Additional Winter Storm Warning included but not limited to : California, Oregon, and Washington.
