Summary:

The next blast of Arctic air surges south down the Plains, across the Great Lakes and through the Southeast and East Friday through Saturday. This could be longest duration of cold in several decades. Forecast models are being closely monitored for potential of another significant winter storm to impact the eastern United States this coming weekend. Confidence in coastal impacts has increased
 
 

Texas

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect from 3 am to 11 am Wednesday. 

  • Visibility of three miles or less. 

Oklahoma

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect from 3 am to 10 am Wednesday. 

  • Visibility of three miles or less. 

Arkansas

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 am Wednesday. 

  • Visibility of near or less than one quarter of a mile or less.

Louisiana

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 am Wednesday. 

  • Visibility of near or less than one quarter of a mile or less.

Mississippi

Flood Warning remains in effect until early Thursday afternoon. 

  • Minor flooding is forecast. 

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 am Wednesday. 

  • Low visibility will make driving conditions hazardous.

Alabama

Flood Warning remains in effect from Wednesday evening through early Saturday afternoon. 

  • Minor flooding of the Tombigbee River. 

Tennessee

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 am Wednesday. 

  • Low visibility will make driving conditions hazardous.

Michigan

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 am Thursday. 

  • Snow accumulations between 1 and 8 inches.

New York

Lake Effect Snow Warning remains in effect from 7 am Tuesday until 7 pm Thursday.

  • Snow accumulations between 1 to 2 feet today across Oswego County.
  • Additional accumulations of 6 to 12 inches.  

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to:   California and Oregon. 

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to: Washington, Idaho, Michigan, and New York.

Additional Cold Weather Watch included but not limited to: New Mexico, North Dakota, Minnesota, Texas, Kentucky,  Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York.
