Summary:

A clipper-like system will drop down from Canada on Thursday, bringing wintry weather from the Upper Midwest to the Great Lakes through Friday. This system is expected to bring strong northerly winds to much of the northern and central High Plains Thursday afternoon through Friday, with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
 
Washington

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM Friday.   

  • Visibility down to a quarter mile or less in freezing fog.
Oregon

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until noon today.   

  • Visibility down to a quarter mile or less in freezing fog.

California

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until noon today.   

  • Visibility down to a quarter mile or less in freezing fog.

Mississippi

Flood Warning remains in effect through Friday afternoon.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall. 

Louisiana

Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday afternoon.

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall. 

Indiana

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through noon today.

  • Heavy Lake effect snow expected. Snow accumulations between 3 and 8 inches. 
  • Northwest winds gusting as high as 25 to 35 mph.

Michigan

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through noon today.

  • Heavy Lake effect snow expected. Snow accumulations between 3 and 8 inches. 
  • Northwest winds gusting as high as 25 to 35 mph.

Ohio

Lake Effect Snow Warning remains in effect through 7 PM this evening.

  • Heavy Lake effect snow expected. Snow accumulations between 2 and 8 inches. 

Pennsylvania

Lake Effect Snow Warning remains in effect through 7 PM this evening.

  • Heavy Lake effect snow expected. Snow accumulations between 2 and 8 inches. 

New York

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through 7 PM this evening.

  • Heavy Lake effect snow expected. Snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. 
  • Winds gusting as high as 30 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow. 

Additional Dense Fog Advisory included but not limited to:  Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, and Maine. 

Additional Wind Advisory included but not limited to: Montana, California, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado.

Additional Winter Weather Advisory included but not limited to: Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan.
