Summary: A sweeping cold front will bring widespread showers along the East Coast, followed by lake effect snow across the Great Lakes region. Summary: A cold front sweeping through the Eastern U.S. will deliver below normal temperatures for the Eastern half of the country on Friday, basically east of the Mississippi River. Meanwhile, a system from the Northwest will produce heavy snow across the northern Intermountain West on Friday. Finally, persistent onshore flow will result in rain and heavy snow for portions of the Alaska Panhandle. Winter Advisories: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York

Summary: A strong and powerful cold front will press eastward and drop southward through the Central U.S. on Wednesday. A few hazards are expected across the region, including high wind warnings persisting across the Dakotas with gusts up to 60 to 70 mph, elevated fire weather concerns in the central and southern Plains, and a few showers that may develop from the Great Lakes to the Mid Mississippi Valley. Winter Advisories: New Hampshire, Maine

A strong Pacific system will approach Monday morning with more rain, mountain snow and strong winds for the Northwest.
