Summary: Ida has become a post-tropical remnant as is tracks across the Mid-Atlantic into the Northeast. Two significant hazards are expected with Ida interacting and merging with a front. A high risk for excessive rain and flooding extends from the central Appalachians to southern New England. Also, severe thunderstorms with tornadoes and damaging winds are probable in parts of the Mid-Atlantic.
