Idalia is forecast to become a major hurricane early this week in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. There is an increasing threat of life-threatening storm surge, hurricane-force winds and scattered flash and urban flooding along or in portions of the west coast of Florida, the Panhandle and Southeast beginning on Tuesday. Georgia
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning
- Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
- Impacts: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Virginia
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM EDT today
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. Water over roadways.
Oregon
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM PDT Tuesday evening
- West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
New Mexico
Flood Watch remains in effect until 11 PM MDT this evening
- Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Water over roadways is possible.
