Weather Update 8.11.21 - U.S.

Summary: Tropical Storm Fred (the system formerly known as Potential Tropical Cyclone Six) is currently tracking northwest across the Caribbean sea, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds over the next few days. Tropical Storm conditions are expected this morning across the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, including flooding, mudslides, and strong winds. Shipments to or from these locations will likely be delayed

There is a risk of wind and rainfall impacts in Florida beginning Friday in the Keys and spreading northward through portions of the Peninsula and the Panhandle this weekend. However, it is too soon to determine the exact timing, location, and magnitude of any potential impacts.
