Summary: Damaging winds, dangerous storm surge, and heavy rainfall likely across the west coast of Florida as Elsa moves through the region, with tropical storm conditions extending into the Southeast and coastal Mid-Atlantic by Thursday. Elsa is expected to make landfall today. Current Advisories: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia

Hurricane conditions expected today across parts of the Big Bend
  • From Chassahowitza to Steinhatchee River
  • 3-5ft storm surge 
    • Including Tampa Bay
  • 3-6 inches of rain, up to 9
  • 39+mph winds
Tropical Storm Warning
Tropical Storm conditions expected today across portions of northern and central FL 
  • West-central and northwest Florida coasts inland to to portions of north Florida
  • 3-6 inches of rain
  • 39+mph winds
  • Potential for isolated tornadoes
Georgia and South Carolina
Tropical Storm Warning
Tropical storm conditions expected to spread across southeast GA and the SC coast late tonight into tomorrow
  • 1-2ft storm surge
  • 2-4 inches of rain, up to 6
  • Potential for isolated tornadoes
North Carolina and Virginia
Tropical Storm Watch
Tropical Storm conditions possible along the coast by late Thursday into Friday
  • 1-3 inches of rain, up to 5
