Severe thunderstorms are expected Wednesday, particularly across parts of the Ozarks and Ohio Valley, and portions of the northern and central Plains. Excessive rainfall is forecast Wednesday in the Midwest which may bring areas of flash flooding. Excessive heat with potential records will continue to impact much of California away from the immediate coast into the weekend. Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 8:30 AM CDT this morning
- Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
- Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Flood Warning remains in effect until 11:30 AM CDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Florida
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
California
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM PDT this evening
- Minor coastal flooding.
- Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.
New Jersey
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning
- Visibility as low as one quarter mile in areas of dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
