Summary:
Hot to excessively hot temperatures are expected over the central Plains much of this week. Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings have been issued. Heavy to excessive rainfall may bring flooding to the central Appalachians Monday. Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in portions of the Midwest and the northern Plains Monday. Impacted Lanes: I-70, I-44, I-55, I-72, I-74, I-57, I-43, I-39, I-88, I-90, I-85, I-40


Indiana
Flood Warning remains in effect until 2:30 AM EDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

Kentucky 
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 8:45 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. 

California
Dense Smoke Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM PDT this morning

  • Visibility 1 to 3 miles in dense smoke.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
