Summary:
Severe storms capable of producing severe winds, large hail, tornadoes and heavy rainfall are expected through this evening across portions of the Midwest. A Moderate Risk (level 4 of 5) of Severe Storms and Excessive Rainfall is in effect. Excessive heat will continue to impact the Central and Eastern U.S. this week. Impacted Lanes: I-70, I-335, I-35, I-94, I-44, I-55, I-64, I-57, I-69, I-74


Illinois
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 12:15 PM CDT this morning

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Flood Warning remains in effect until 6 PM CDT Monday evening

  • Minor flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Moderate Flood Stage. Minor street flooding begins.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 AM CDT Wednesday morning

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roads, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Additional Flood Warnings include but are not limited to: Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana, and Michigan

Additional Flood Advisories include but are not limited to: Kansas, and Missouri

Additional Flood Watches include but are not limited to: New Mexico, Indiana, and Ohio
