Flash, urban, and small stream flooding, along with isolated river flooding is possible from Arkansas into Kentucky through Wednesday. Severe thunderstorms will be possible across portions of the northern Plains through Thursday. ACTIVE ADVISORIES: NEVADA, CALIFORNIA, MONTANA, ARKANSAS, AND LOUISIANA

Wind Advisory
WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM PDT WEDNESDAY
  • Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph expected
  • From 11 AM to 8 PM PDT Wednesday
  • Lincoln County, Western Clark and Southern Nye County and the Spring Mountains-Red Rock Canyon area
 
California
Wind Advisory
WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PDT TUESDAY
  • Sustained west winds 20 to 30 mph, with gusts around 50 mph expected
  • Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Blowing dust may reduce visibilities in some locations
  • Travel will be difficult, particularly for high profile vehicles
  • Highways affected: Highway 14, Highway 178, and Highway 58

Flash Flood Warning
FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
LATE TONIGHT
  • Thunderstorms will bring locally heavy rain in some areas this afternoon and evening
  • Rainfall in excess of 2 inches is possible from thunderstorms
  • Flash flooding is possible in any areas where heavy rain occurs this afternoon and tonight
 
Arkansas
Flash Flood Warning
FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR SOUTHERN DESHA COUNTY
  • Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
  • Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches 
 
Louisiana
Flood Warning
THE FLOOD WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
  • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
