Weather Update 6.1.22

Summary:

Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall is expected to produce strong winds, large hail and flooding in portions of the Southern Plains into the Ozarks and gusty winds and isolated large hail in the Ohio Valley into the Northeast on Tuesday. There is a high chance of the remnants of Agatha developing into a tropical cyclone near the Yucatan Peninsula over the next 48 hours.

 

Colorado

Wind Advisory
  • Wind Advisory remains in effect until Noon MDT today
    • Wet snow ongoing. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches
    • Impacts: Snow or slush covered roads will make travel hazardous at times in the higher foothills areas including Interstate 70 west of Evergreen. Bridges and overpasses may also become icy

 

Kansas

Flood Warning
  • Flood Warning in effect from early this morning to tomorrow evening
    • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
 

Missouri

Flood Warning
  • Wind Advisory in effect from this morning to late Friday morning
    • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
    • Impacts: At 18.1 feet, Water exits the left bank downstream of the State Highway A bridge. Adjacent fields begin to flood.

 

Additional Flood Advisories include but not limited to the following: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, and Arkansas
