Summary:
Widespread showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain may bring flooding to South Texas and parts of the Northeast U.S. tonight into Friday morning. Scattered severe thunderstorms with damaging gusts and large hail are expected over parts of the southern Appalachians, and Rio Grande Valley of Texas into Friday morning. Impacted Lanes: I-10, I-49, I-12, I-55, I-59, I-20, I-80, I-81, I-86, I-88, I-87, I-90, I-84, I-95, I-91, I-89, I-93, I-40, I-65, I-75, I-22


Connecticut
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice

  • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Water is over roadways and numerous roads may be closed due to flooding. 

Flood Watch remains in effect until 1 AM EDT Saturday morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Water may be over roadways and numerous roads may be closed due to flooding. 

Mississippi
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning 

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice

  • Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Water is over roadways and numerous roads may be closed due to flooding. 

Flood Advisory remains in effect until further notice

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

Additional Dense Fog Advisories include but are not limited to: Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina
