Severe thunderstorms capable of large hail, damaging winds, and perhaps a couple of tornadoes are possible across parts of the southern Plains Thursday. - Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM MDT this afternoon
- Flooding caused by snowmelt continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways.
Nevada
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PDT this evening
- Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
- Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. A few power outages are possible. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
West Virginia
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 2 PM EDT this afternoon
- Heavy wet snow. Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches. Storm total snowfall amounts will be between 10 and 16 inches of snow. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute.
