Arizona
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 8 PM MDT this evening
- Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts 60 to 70 mph expected.
- Impacts: Damaging winds could blow down some trees and power lines. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Areas of blowing dust will lead to reduced visibilities, resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM MDT this evening
- Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could snap resulting in a few power outages. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Patchy blowing dust will lead to reduced visibilities, resulting in hazardous driving conditions at times.
Blowing Dust Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM MDT this evening
- Visibility between one-quarter and one mile in blowing dust expected.
- Impacts: These winds may produce areas of blowing dust reducing visibility between one and three miles.
North Carolina
Flood Warning remains in effect until 2 PM EDT this afternoon
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Water is over roadways.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM EDT this afternoon
- Nuisance flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing.
- Impacts: Nuisance flooding of low-lying areas adjacent to streams and other poor-drainage areas, including underpasses, and parking lots. Isolated, shallow flows over roadways is possible. A few flood-prone, low-water crossings may become impassible.
Flood Watch remains in effect until 5 AM EDT Wednesday morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Water over roadways is expected.
